Have now read the Raid-related topics.
2 brandnew Maxtors 40 Gigs, master/slave config.
Set IDE access in bios of IBM machine from "performace" to "compatible", disabled "write prefetch".
Enabled hdparm, checked cable.
Keep getting messages.

You should really have these two drives on seperate ide channels for both performance and redundancy reasons.
Make sure you use ATA100 cables for clean data signals.
-
This stupid thing had the whole Raid installed on hda. It was a default 5.5 installation.

Hi,
do not run "raidmonitor -iv" during resync (see your "last good conf..").
If your disks are in sync, just run the init now "raidmonitor -iv", thats all.
