Title: Changing the timezone on SME v6
Post by: Michael Bakker on January 06, 2004, 07:32:13 PM
Hi Folks,

I am new to linux and SME so when I installed SME v6 I picked the wrong timezone(I guess beginners luck) so my question is, how can I correct this to the correct timezone without installing the server again? There is nothing on the console(admin account) to change it and there is nothing in the web gui to change it as well.

Cheers,

Michael Bakker

Try activating your NTP service via server-manager.

Good luck.

Hi Ergin,

The NTP services is on but it corrects the time according the timezone gmp+1 so it corrects it incorrectly i whant to change the timezone to europe/Amsterdam and do not whant to have gmp+1 because that is 1 hour different.

Cheers,

Michael

I must be missing something. In the configuration panel of your server-manager under date and time you are able to change the time zone there.
I think it must be changed before you enable the Network Time Server.
