Title: Folders on IMAP

Hi Everybody

Just wondering if anybody has figured out how to get creating folders to work on the IMAP server on a stock version 4 system.

What sorts of problems are you having?  Personally, I installed a different IMAP server, but the one that ships with e-smith 4 seems to work fine.

Well, as far as I can see the IMAP server is all running fine, and I can log in from my IMAP client and get my email. What it will not let me do is create new folders. That is what I am asking about here.

1. Is there a known problem with creating folders in the e-smith IMAP server?
2. Does anybody know how to fix it if there is a problem.

are you a user created from ver 3 e-smith ?
in anycase check that you can create a folder from a shell in your ~ dir
imap/imp creates folders here /home/e-smith/files/users/yourname
if you can't neither can imp
nb. not the usual /home/e-smith/files/users/yourname/home

Thanks a lot everybody.

That solved my problem right off. I hope this will be addressed in the next update to version 4.

Works like a dream now.
