Title: Duration of connection???

How does the server and gateway know when to disconnect after browsing the web?  Is it possbile for me to specify the duration of time (in minutes) that it must stay online before disconnecting?

From the console menu you can select from one of three connection policy settings; short, medium, or long.  

If you wish to manually set your disconnect policies you'll want to have a look at /etc/diald.filer, and be sure to read the "Customizing the system" documentation available at our developers site.  (http://www.e-smith.org/)
