Title: BIG PROBLEM

HI

i have a very BIG Problem, at the weekend my hdd burned off and now i wanted to rebuild my hdd or save my settings as E-Mails, I-bays or such things, i installed E-Smith an a new HDD and now i don´t konw how i can get my old configuration to my new HDD. Could somebody plz Help me, its urgent! If i can´t handle it my boss will kill me!

What do you mean when you say "burned off"?

If your old hd is still functional, back it up.  (Refer to the user manual if you are unsure how.)  Replace HDs.  Configure your network and e-smith server, such that you can at least access the e-smith server and gateway from the same desktop machine you performed the back-up on.  

Perform a restore.  This should restore all user accounts, user directories, i-bay contents, web site, and configuration parameters entered using the console and web-based manager.

You can also use Norton Ghost. It will ghost one HD image to another. And yes, it does work with linux I have used it five times without problem.
