I have my printer connected to my server. Every time I try to print from the network, I am propmted for a password. I used the admin password and it doesn't work. I used the user password and that doesn't work. I can't find anywhere in the e-smith manager to issue a password for the printer. Any suggs? Thanks

Just edit
/etc/e-smith/temlates/smb.conf/50printer
I am not sure about that path, but you will find there samba printer config
and chage there quest=yes

That might allow access to the printer, but it doesn't explain why access isn't already permitted. If the user is logged on with a valid username and password, then they should be able to access the printer without an additional password prompt.
You might find some explanation in the samba log files in /var/log/samba. Be warned, the log files are rather cryptic.
