Has someone managed it, to install php3 and php4 in parallel?
Thanks
Thomas

It is, in theory, possible, but PHP would need to be compiled with the --enable-versioning switch, which is not the case with any of the RPMs I've made. I also understand it requires some tricks to make sure that PHP3 and PHP4 each parse only the right files.
Are you sure you need this, though? The backward compatibility in PHP4 is very good.

yes i really need it ... I wanted to try PHP-Nuke, a WebPortal-System which is also used for the e-smith.org Homepage ... but if I try to open a page of it, it crashes the httpd-child.
In the readme are some problemes with php4 outlined but they couldn't figure out what exactly the problem is :-(.

Upgrade to php nuke 4.1
Get it @ www.phpnuke.org
It is better about system resources
