I would like to use the e-smith server as a domain controller for a small network. I personally do not like to create user's home directories so that everyone can see them. Is there a way to create them so they are hidden, In NT you can create the share with a $ sign at the end and that makes the share hidden. any help would be appreciated.

Isn's it just "browseable = no" for that share what you are looking after or do I misunderstand?

I believe that by default users home directories are shared automatically (\server\user) and are visible only to the owner.
(at least the users on my system can see their own home directory and cant see or access others)
