Congratulations on a great product! I'm having a lot of fun with e-smith and everything works extremely well except for the above. The only extra packages that I have added are the [e-smith-rp-pppoe-0.1-3.noarch.rpm and rp-pppoe-2.2-1.i386.rpm] for ADSL etc and the update [e-smith-base-4.0.12-28.noarch.rpm] - in that order.
I have 2 domain names registered and am using dyndns.com, who are also very helpful. When I type in either www.x.com.au (my primary domain) or www.z.com (First virtual domain, using an ibay) I always get directed to my primary website. I've triple checked the obvious and have even looked at httpd.conf and it looks OK to my limited experience with Linux & Apache.
I wish I had tried it before applying the update but I read that this version fixed a bug with ibays so I just had to do it. Also at that stage I did not have the second domain name, so I can't blame the update.
When I ping x.com.au I get:
PING x.com.au (x.x.x.x) from (x.x.x.x)
also
When I ping z.com I also get:
PING x.com.au (x.x.x.x) from (x.x.x.x)
Does that throw any light on the matter?
Thank you in advance

No, you can't blame the upgrade. If you read the Users Guide carefully you'll see that hosting of web sites is not supported on dialup links in e-smith version 4.0. As PPPoE is built on the dialup/PPP infrastructure, that version does not fully support web site hosting.
I've been working on resolving the limitations, and will soon be uploading e-smith-base-4.0.12-42.noarch.rpm into my contrib area at
ftp://ftp.e-smith.org/pub/e-smith/contrib/charlieb/RPMS/noarch. Please grab that, then run:
/sbin/e-smith/signal-event console-save
and reboot, and let me know how that works for you. [Note that this RPM is an unsupported personal contribution, and comes with no warranty.]

Thanks for the speedy reply. Will keep a close eye on your contrib area.
Amazing how much info is really in that User's guide. Keep up the good work.

Within minutes of posting this reply I got the update RPM emailed to me. Tried it but sorry to say that there was no change. Got to give you guys 10/10 for support - after all it's Sunday today.
Thanks Charlie

Thanks for all your help. I now have a working solution. After a reboot, I have to manually update my new IP with my dynamic DNS provider, then "delete ExternalIP" & "signal-event" the new assigned IP.
Thanks again :-) :-) :-)
