On my work i'm using lazyport.sh to forward a port from the e-smith 4.0 server to a workstation on the internal network. On that workstation i'm running an ftp server.
When i'm connected to the internet using a 56k modem (dial up), i can access the ftp server without any problem.
When using a cable connection i can access the server, but i don't get a dir listing of it's contents. It stucks at: list -all
What can be wrong?

try using passive ftp.

hmph. weird. possibly its something odd with the way your cablemodem service routes to you?
can ya post some specifics on the networking with the cablemodem? maybe post a traceroute from your e-smith box to someplace on the net (uh.. say e-smith.org? :D)

I forgot to mention that my home pc is behind an e-smith 4.0 server too.
In your mail box you'll find a traceroute from my home pc.

Thanks! I see it is a frontend to ipmasqadm. I quess I will just set up rules for that in my firewall script.
