Title: Opening a backup in WinX
Post by: lc on November 18, 2000, 11:16:12 AM
Hi,

I asked earlier what file format the backups were in... and I was told that they are UUEncoded Tarballs (I think...)

Anyway, my question now is... knowing this, how can i crack open one of these backups in windows?  I've got a rather trivial file to retreive from a backup, and I'd really rather not mess with Linux on this one...

Any hints on software?  I think Winzip can decode the UUE, but I'm not sure where to go from there...

Thanks in advance,

Len
