Hi
Is it possible to edit my /etc/crontab file using the command crontab -e?
When I try - i doesn't show me any of my scheduled jobs?

No, you shouldn't edit that file. Like may configuration files, it is managed by the e-smith template system. Please see http://www.e-smith.org/custom/ for documentation.
If you wish to add crontab jobs, a file under the /etc/crontab.d/ directory is the way to go, preferably via an add-on rpm.
