Title: IMP- Insecure password
Post by: Alec Norek on November 28, 2000, 01:25:08 PM
I thought that I followed the installation notes for webmail to the letter.  However when I access ...../horde/imp/ I get the following message.

Error: IMP is using an insecure default database password
You need to change the password for the database user to something secure.

The password must be changed in several places; the horde/scripts/database/dbpasswd.sh script is useful for this purpose. Please see the docs/SECURITY file for details.

I,ve looked at the security.txt file and don't know how to run the "dbpasswd.sh" script.  Can someone PLEASE spell it all out for me.

Thanks

Thanks Nef.  Very easy when you know how.  Another 5 years & I'll be a Linux guru.
