Title: ibays access from windows clients
Post by: Patrick Poels on November 28, 2000, 11:04:55 PM
We successfully installed e-smith and also managed to configure it. But when we make an e-bay, we have 3 maps in it wit the map files which has read and write access for all users in the group. But we would like the share itsel to be read/write enabled for the group, so that we can map that share to a drive (like f:) and that the whole group has all the rights to it. We located the directory on the e-smith server and changed the access rights to it. The problem then is that when one user creates something, the others cannot access it. Any solution to this problem?

You Should Check the creation rule in smb.conf
Ink that there could be the restriction, the users creates the files wid no acces rights for others,
I would check by my side cause I'm doing something similar
