Title: If I ever decide to upgrade....
Post by: Seymore on December 09, 2000, 01:49:03 AM
Is the e-smith backup sufficient enough so that I won't have to reinstall things such as my web pages, user prefs, stored email etc??

How about stored MySQL database data?

I may upgrade to the preview release (its just a home lan), and was wondering how much would be lost if I did (and/or how much work is required to get it restored)

You can do what I did, back it up with e-smith backup, then restore it.  On the restore it will list all the files that were on the backup then make your decision on that.
