Sorry I don't have too much time right now but I think it may have something to do with the ssl key and certificate generation process.

I suspect they are discussing issues like this on the developers list and highly recommend you post this question there. You can subscribe from the main e-smith.org site.

Having trouble seeing what it's got to do with SSL. I have the same problem, I am not able to get to the e-smith manager. I have used 192.168.1.1/e-smith-manager as in the past, I have used www.e-smtih.url.xxx/e-smith-manager, and host of other configurations. Any help anybody? Or perhaps why this is an SSL issue. shouldn't even have to use ssl since it's only accessable to the local network, no?

I have the same problem over here to. for the mean time I'm using the text based browser.  When I go into the menu "review configuration" is says that my e-smith-manager address is www.blahblahblah.blah/e-smith-manager. when i plug that address into my web brower, the broswer isn't looking in the right direction.  but when I plug in my "window sharing name" ie. BLah-smith the browser knows where to go cause it's looking at the right ip.  I've even modifiyed the e-smith-manager host to host on the internal ip address, no self (locathost) and still it' fails to work.  altho ftp works fine. and I can  open my ftp connection to hostname.domainname.workgroup.

One interesting point tho.  in my windows environment, my network neighboor shows my e-smith belonging to a different workgroup, other than the one i specified.  So I'm thinking it has to do w/permissions. and that's the reason i can't get to the webpage.  ???.

I know it's a little far fetched.

I tried 192.168.1.1:980/e-smith-manager and no dice.
Also, I have a number of domains pointed at my ip, they should resolve to the primary Ibay when calling them in the browser. Instead they go nowhere. Any help?

Sorry, no.

Please report all feedback to devinfo@lists.e-smith.org - don't report problems or ask for help on this bulletin board. The beta is a preview for developers.

Thanks

Please report feedback in as much detail as you can to devinfo@lists.e-smith.org.

Don't expect anybody to help you with problems. If you report success or otherwise in sufficient detail, we will fix the problems and release a second beta. If you don't, then you will be stuck with a broken first beta!
