Topic: VPN using WinXP

Hi

I'm trying to use the vpn function from a remote XP desktop to gain access to the E-Smith V5 server.  Everything works fine from a win98 remote machine and I have duplicated the setting in the WinXP machine (and turned off encryption etc)

If I link over pptp as Admin - I connect but dont see the network.  If I try to connect as any other validated user then I get error 691 and told that the username or password are invalid

Any help appreciated

I don't think E-Smith V5 supports Windows XP.  But I'm not sure.
