I am planing to replace an old Win NT server with SME 5.6 during the weekend.

Scenario:

1 .

17 Win2000 clients in classroom which are very well "closed" for our students (they are such a destructive creatures) with central remote policies from Win NT server

2.

After replacing servers I am going to move those *.POL files into the "netlogon" share, but I want to know if this is a right way. Is there any default PATH in which must *.POL files sit ???

Yes of course SAMBA will act as PDC !!!

Hello Andrej

For your own nightrest make first a test envearment to show how you can deploy your rights realy.

Write down wat kind off settings you make, so if you say yes to the migrations you have every thing on paper.

All done with one client only. I pushed my own SHARE for *.POL files ! All I am asking is if anybody knows default place or path in which is recomended to store POL files and use a default location for it in my clients???
