Topic: open port on SME 5.6 - how?

hello!

could someone please give a a step by step explanation how to open a specific UDP and TCP port /fully/ on an SME 5.6 box - i tried editing files in /etc/e-smith/templates/etc/rc.d/init.d/masq but an nmap from the outside still gives strange results... i'm a bit desparate now...
