I was attempting to expand some templates when I inadvertatly typed something else. Not even sure which command it was but it was in the /sbin/e-smith folder. Now I'm getting this message at the top of the Server-Manager "Warning: you have not yet changed the default system password". If you reset the password you still get the warning. Also all of my settings in the Server-Manager are missing. :-( Last time I ran into this when I rebooted the machine it wouldn't let me in at all. That was ok becuase it was just on a test server....this one's not...(double yikes!). I figure that the settings should still be in the templates but I couldn't find a way to expand them all at one time. Or is that a bad idea....?

If this is still of use.
If you log in as root (assuming you still can) just press the up arrow cursor key to scroll through the previously entered commands and see what you accidently typed.

VERY good thought but too late. I didn't even have to redo the password. I simply did a "/sbin/e-smith/signal-event post-upgrade" and everything came back password and all. Only thing that didn't return was user accounts and I have an smeserver.tgz backup file that should fix that. May have some more minor fixes but at least it won't be a total reinstall. Thanks for the though thou. It's always the simply things that give you the most trouble. ;-)
