Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /home/httpd/html/horde/imp/lib/mimetypes.lib on line 525

I am using e-smith server/gateway ver 4.1.1. I'm running it on a p166 with 64 mb ram, 6.4 gb hdd. I am using the imp mail program installed with the server.

I am trying to open a message on my server that is 3501 kb. When I try to view the message in order to download this attachment I get this message after a long wait:
Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /home/httpd/html/horde/imp/lib/mimetypes.lib on line 525

I looked in the directory that the error message specifies but cannot see where to change the maximum exec time.

Any help is appreciated as I have 16 messges witrh attachments of equal size. Very important stuff.

Thank you!

I think that if you try to change the execution time the only difference you will notice is a longer wait to receive the same message.
As far as I can say , it could be that the message attachment sent to you have a fault on its mime type code and the script "mimetypes.lib" just stops responding, cause of this fault.
What kind of atachment is?
Have you tryed same attachment to a different mail?
can you download this mail directly from e-smith server to another kind of client (not a webmail)?
maybe the size of the attachment is limited in any way, inside imp

Please don't cross-post; that defeats the purpose of having more than one discussion forum.

This value can be set in /etc/php.ini, you're looking for the line that specifies max_execution_time.  I believe it can be turned off by specifying 0, but I'm not 100% sure of that.

I decided to just delete the messages and try having them sent via ftp....but as the next message from me shows I have a problem with that also.

Thanks for the input!
