Topic: phprojekt mail sent ok but never arrives

I have recently installed projekt all went ok. But for some reason mail appears to go ok but never arrives to where it's being sent.

If i use my mail from outlook or evoluton on my imap account on it's own no probs.
But not the case when i am in Projekt.

I will check the forums to see if anyone has has this same problem. But if you have any shortcuts for me to read can someone drop one by me.  thank you.

I have installed this at Bytes suggestion and have to say it works like a dream par this problem.

I can see loads of info on projekt but cant find the problem i am having.

time to start digging around

Did you set the email accounts during the setup?

I havent had a problem with mail on there, If you havent found out by tomorrow i'll have quick look see what i did as work has finished now

Cheers Byte, to answer your question i cant remember seeing anything about setting up mail accounts? I didnt see anything during setup.

I'll start checking that out..

Hi,

If you have a look in the config.inc.php about third of the way down you will see a //mail section have a look at the options you can get like

0 = No Mail
1 = Only Send
2 = Send & Receive

*BEWARE*

If you change this in the main file you will bugger the system so look in...

/etc/e-smith/templates-custom/phpprojekt (I think it was) and edit the correct template once you happy with that just expand the template

/sbin/e-smith/expand-tempate

That should sort it

looks like it sits in the following.

/etc/e-smith/templates/opt/project/config.inc.php

There is a file in ther called 55mail i have changed the file to be able to send and receive mail then attempted to expand the template.

Got this error message

/sbin/e-smith/expand-template /etc/esmith/templates/opt/project/config.inc.php/
55mail

ERROR: No templates were found for // (same path as above)

even tried (same path) /config.inc.php 55mail (dont know if this command is ok)

But i am sending mail now. just going to see how i receive mail.

no, no ,no Adrian do the expand template this way


/sbin/expand-template /opt/phpprojeckt (That is where my installation is)

then it will look in the dir where you changed it and automatically change the config.inc.php in /opt/php......

that will sort ya

Ever tried this on 5.1.2? (Internal Server)

Yea that's what i orignally had it installed on but now on 5.6...You on 5.1.2 then?

Byte we are on 5.6 (U5) we try not to use 5.1.2 unless it's going to be used internally.

I am going to impliment phprojekt here, It's going to be very useful.

I have a customer that would love this but he is on 5.1.2 (U3) he's got about 4 Sme boxes on site. He wanted his Novel 4.0 server and his nt server removed.

He doesnt want to upgrade to 5.6 on the main internal server so 5.1.2 it stays.
