Topic: Adding Local Network SME 5.5

Every time we try and add a local network we get the error message" router could not be contacted by local network". Is the router the gatway for the other network your trying to add. e.g. my i.p here is 217.XXX.XXX.XXX and I am trying to add local network 81.XXX.XXX.XXX so would I have to add the gateway that the 81 address uses to access the internet. We have an ADSL router with 5 I.P's

If the network is indeed local, then add the router on the local network used to reach it. If it is not local, you will not be able to add the network as a local network.
