Test Internet Connection function removed in SME 6.01-01

Hi All
Anyone know why this function was removed in SME Server 6.0.1-01 ? It is very handy when doing new installs etc. I know the srver would contact MITEL in their versions, but could it not be set up to contact contribs.org?

Newer used it. I log in and use the command line tools.

Anyway, it may be even better to contact a time server and sync date and time while checking the connectivity or send an e-mail with installation details to address specified by the administrator.

In example:
dig contribs.org
lynx contribs.org

If ICMP packets are not disturbed, then also:
traceroute contribs.org
ping contribs.org

I think you got the point and find many more ways, such as telnet, ftp and so on.
