I don't know what it is that you are asking, just follow the HOWTO instructions.

Good work, Ray, i've worked through it onto the point "grep "rblsmtpd" /var/log/smtpfront-qmail/current" but it gives no results. Pattern matching "rblsmtpd" though the archived maillogs gives no results either.

I'm missing the following entries issuing grep RBLList /home/e-smith/configuration compared to yours in the howto.

MaxMessageSize|10500000|Patterns|enabled|PatternsFile|/var/qmail/control/patterns.default

E-smith 6.0.1 server-gateway mode, just using single sbl-xbl.spamhaus.org.

You won't see any of those entries until after some messages have been blocked

They are not missing as such, just not configured on your server, MaxMessageSize limits the size of email attachments

>Patterns|enabled|PatternsFile|/var/qmail/control/patterns.default

Only required if you use pattern matching, I'm just working on a howto for that now.

Let me know what results you have after a week.

I've learned that the patterns.default is generated via  Rowells mailfront rules.

I have enabled spam blocking via RBL since weeks. There was an old post describing it: http://forums.contribs.org/index.php?topic=21195.msg84046#msg84046
