SME Server as public Web and FTP server just works great.
My SME Server is in a DMZ, with a SmoothWall protecting the network.
However, a few questions.
If I view the proFTP log, all it shows is the date, time and IP address of connection.
Is there any way that I can view the username and password (password if possible) of users logging in to my system via anonymous FTP as well as the normal users themselves?
If not, is there any way that I can pick up whether some goofer is trying to use dictionary attacks against my server?
Is there a mod which will monitor login attempts and blacklist said IP for a specific time period should some goofer actually try dictionary attacks?
Also, SME Server will mail basic server statistics to the admin mailbox, which I can access via Webmail, and which is fine to me. But how can I add more information to this server statistics? I would like to have login attempts and the such added as well.
