Is this possible with smeserver 7? I thought version 7 no longer uses kickstart files.
If it is possible can you tell me if there is any documentation regarding kickstart.
Yes, we no longer use Kickstart files, but you should be able to if you want to. As far as I know we haven't broken that support, and if we have, please let us know via the bug tracker (but check the same thing on CentOS 4.2 first please).

You will get a one-way RAID on the working drive, You can then add the other drive after the install, possibly as another one-way RAID. This provides flexibility to mirror them at a later stage.
Please also note that any such non-standard installations may break with later upgrades. It's impossible for us to support all such customisations, especially as we don't know what they are
