Performing signal-event post-upgrade after yum localinstall causes in hanging the post-upgrade command. top shows

PID USER      PR  NI  VIRT  RES  SHR S %CPU %MEM    TIME+  COMMAND
2      root       RT   0     0       0      0    S  0.0     0.0      0:00.00  migration/0

A reboot of the server shows the post-installation process. As far as I can see, everything is working.

Anybody any idea?
