Password Change Domain
« on: March 12, 2007, 06:46:44 PM »
I have installed SME Server on a test server and have everything I need working except the ability for users on the domain to change there passwords via windows CTRL-ALT-DEL --> change password, I get the error you do not have permission to change your password. I know there is the domain.name\user-manager available but I would like the users to be able to change there passwords in windows. I had in the past SME 6 setup as a domain controller and the password changes worked fine. Any suggestions would be great! This may be a windows problem and not SME at all not sure.

Yes.
I have the excact same problem.
I _know_ i've been able to change the password from <ctrl-alt-del> change password dialog.
But if it was on 7.0 or after i upgraded to 7.1 i can't say for sure.

However as i just found out , i can't precisely say when this feature ceased to work.

Have others experienced this problem ?
Maybe it's due to a "MS 'security' update" ?
or...
