Topic: PAR files with backup

We are using the Backup with DAR contrib. I noticed on the DAR website that there is a possibility to create PAR files with the backup. Does anyone has experience with creating PAR files with DAR? And how to configure the SME contrib? If possible I would like to create 5-10% PAR files with the backup. The backup is written to a NAS with more than enough disk space.
