ver7.4 and intel mother board NG43NB
« on: February 24, 2009, 07:28:23 AM »
I have used 7.2 with a old box for more than 2 years , rock stable.

Recently I bought a new system using Intel NG43NB as the mother board.  It seems that 7.4 cannot make the onboard NIC to connect to the internet properly.

I am sure:
1. the onboard NIC is working as i have tested using Ubuntu LiveCD, I can connect to web
2. IP/Net mask/gatway has been configured properly in the admin console.

Do you have any idea ?  or 7.4 cannot work with the onboard NIC ?

THanks.

If you find that it doesn't work, you should report the problem via the bug tracker.

THanks.

Seems it really doesn't support this onboard GLan.  I have plugged an old 10/100 NIC card and let it run as it.

Thanks again for your help

I Have found if a buy a new MB, I add a few $$$ for a separate PCI realtek 8139C chipset Network card, disable the onboard and install the NIC and get on with it...

I have found sometimes the Intel onboard NIC are just problems..

my 2C worth..
