Topic: Continuous Restart After Fresh Install

Hello,

I just completed a new install of sme server 8,0. The install went smoothly and I encountered no errors in the process.

However, after installing and rebooting, my new server does not complete the boot process- it simply restarts over and over.

I previously had another linux system installed on this system, so I don't suspect it's a hardware issue.

I'm not terribly knowledgeable of the boot process, can anyone recommend how best to troubleshoot this issue?

Reusing a HD has been known to have issues on occasion, see HERE for details on how to zero the drive.
