did you enter root's password and tried to solve?

do you have a backup? if NO, why? :-)

don't use windows, it likely will not work.. use SME's cd or a live distro

Dear Stefano,
I have backup, and also the raid 1.
the last record on the backup is on Friday, 18 Jan 2014 for increment backup,
and the last full backup is on Sunday, 12 Jan 2014.

the HDD is fixed the error already,
but some of the folder is difficult to access,
especially ibays, samba, and user folder.

the case is i have to access the last record of the Outlook that store on the user profile.
(since the mail is pointed to Z:\ - and the server is running as domain controller with roaming profile)

regards.

You can attach the "old" disk to the "good" server, then boot up, & at command prompt issue commands to mount the additional "old" drive.
Copy the files you want from old to good drives, fix any permissions if necessary.
Remember to unmount the old drive when finished.

See the Howtos for Add a second hard drive or similar name, link at top of forums.

Try it first on a test server if you are unsure what you are doing.

AFAIK Windows will not directly read the ext3 formatted disk from SME server.
Please search before asking, an answer may already exist.
