First off I am new to SME so apologies on any fuax pas here. Is it possible to Display Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) when logging into a SME 9.1 Domain? This would all be for computers in the SME Domain. I have a work around that can put the message in the logon batch script but I was really wanting it to put up before they enter their password.  I have never used SME before.  It seems perfect for a client of mine but this would be a requirement along with password expiration.

AFAIK SME doesn't support such a feature (and, IIRC, you're the first asking for it)

I guess you're referring to client joined to SME's domain (in a windows perspective).. this is something you can enable via group policies.. SME is a NT style domain controller, so, assuming that you don't have too many clients, you have to work on each client

I found out how we can do it.  It isn't with SME.  By following this guide(http://www.frickelsoft.net/blog/?p=31) we can push out a batch file that will put it into the local computer policy.  Thanks for the reply.  Is there anyway to set password expiration for the Microsoft machines joined to the SME server in domain mode?

yes, install smeserver-password contrib

What I do is when a client hires me on to do xyz and I use an open source project and then once I am paid, I give part of the profit back to the Open Source Projects that I used/help implement.  Usually 5 to 10 percent of my profit I give to the projects I use.  That way they are around for me to use in the future.
