Topic: Stop modem from disconnecting

Hi all,
         Is this a great product or what !!!!!!  Works like a charm !!!!!

I would however like to stop my modem from disconnecting after the idle period, or find out the hack to increase the idle time-out for the modem.

I am finding that i am continuously calling my ISP being it disconnects after the idle time out.

I am not sure if i want to change my connection to a permanent one because my understanding of this is that when it disconnects it just dials back up again ( i don't want this to happen because i am not using the machine at 4am in the mornings or when i am at work).  I like the whole dial on demand bit but i just don't want it to keep dropping out after the idle time.

Does anyomne know what i am talking about or a possible solution ?

Did you check the range of options for configuring the modem?  Have a look at section 6 of the manual.
