Previously mentioned that an entry should be made to /etc/cron.d/arkeia.

Exactly what should be entered please ?

I posted the same question at ARKEIA, they reponded within 7 hrs. What an amazing world !

Their response:

Summary:  no crontab for root

You would need to work with the OS vendor to get the system to have
a crontab file for the root user.  You can usually see, edit or
create a crontab by running the following command as root:

 # crontab -e

and Arkeia needs to have this line:

0,5,10,15,20,25,30,35,40,45,50,55 * * * * /usr/bin/ARKPER
1>/dev/null 2>/dev/null # Auto added (NL_MARKER)

in the crontab file, so that cron checks every 5 minutes to see if a
periodic backup is scheduled.  Without this line (or if cron is not
installed), your periodic backups will not run.

All this for free !!.

Now, . . . I would be willing to pay for an e-smith 4.1 Linux ISO with HP Openmail 7 (or maybe even 6) added to it !!!!!!!. Any takers ? Starting at US$100.00 ?
