I am attempting to establish a vpn connection between two e-smith servers. one is running 4.1 RLC3(cable modem) and the other is 4.1 RLC5. (dsl) The workstation is Windows 2000 Pro. The connectionis made, it attempts to validate the user name and password. After about a minute "Error 619:The specified port not connected" appears. The inbound server is setup to allow one connection. SSH is enabled. The user name and password being used is the same for both e-smith servers and the Work station. Any ideas? TIA

If I'm reading this correctly, your Win2K box is behind one of the e-smith
servers. This will not work as PPTP masqeurade is not loaded
in e-smith 4.1 The existing kernel module does not work and may
conflict with the PPTP server feature.

PPTP server can be enabled (as you have done), but PPTP masquerade
is not enabled and is not a feature of e-smith 4.1
