Hi all

I need help to get E-Smith to support Adaptec AIC-7899G dual Channel Raid-5 Card.

Please advise on how to get it to work with e-smith

It will not work with e-smith 4.0.1 as this is based on RedHat 6.1

The AIC-78xx series are noted as supported by RedHat 7, so it should work,
though we have not had one of these cards to test. You may need extra
software to configure the logical units.

Thanks for your reply,

I tried installing it with e-smith 4.0 and 4.1. But e-smith didn't detect the card nor prompt for device driver to install. Then I tried 'accept dd' option to allow prompt for extra device driver disk selection, it work until the portion where e-smith start to copy files to the new partition. It prompted that files can not be located from the cdrom drive or path wasn't correct. I am not sure why, it seems that after the driver was install, some install-path setting was messed up.

Any advices on what I can do to fix this problem??
