First, many thanks for Gordon Rowell for providing space here on e-smith.org to store my contributed RPMs. My pages on 50megs.com are apparently history, but almost everything (with the exception of the ip_masq_icq module, which has been taken care of by somebody else) has made it over here. Go to
to see what's up there.
Second, I recently released updates to my PHP and e-smith-PHP RPMs. The good news is that they're now using PHP 4.0.3pl1, which fixes several bugs, including at least one security-related problem, compared to the previous version. The bad news is that they don't play well with the previous versions. Also, they now require Apache 1.3.12 (also required for the recently-posted mod_ssl RPM).
If you want to use these RPMs and you already have my previous RPMs installed, I recommend you remove them first, and then install the new ones. The new e-smith-php4 RPM is versioned at 0.2-2 (I shouldn't have given it a 4.0 number in the first place).
Any discussion or questions about these RPMs should probably be over on the advanced forum.
