LDAP < best client?
« on: March 13, 2001, 12:51:58 PM »
hi,
i just installed e-smith 4.1.1 on my home LAN - i replaced WindozeNT4.0 with it lol - it is GREEEAT - i am so happy do have this NT thing blown away....

I am not a computer maniac - so i have still some questions...

1. all my users use the same logonscript (netlogon.bat), but i want to use those %U.bat scripts - how? i edited the smb.conf - now they use no script..lol

2. LDAP - what can i do with LDAP? i know u can have a firmaddressbook with LDAP - but whats the best email client that supports LDAP (not netscape please)?

3. i will by a HP colorado Travan 20 GB tapedrive - can i install it after e-smith is installed and have backup enabled?

There are *many*.
Outlook Express & Lotus Notes for starters.
The webmail client included in E-Smith also uses the LDAP address book...
