Topic: SMTP server from outside LAN

I have just installed e-smith 4.1.2 and I want to do a simple thing like send mail from an email client located outside my firewall but I keep getting "sorry xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx I don't allow unauthorized relaying etc..." from the SMTP server.

From what I have read so far I need to alter the template file either host.allow or host.deny but I had a look at them in pico and couldn't work out what to do. Can anyone out there give me specific advice on what file I need to edit and what to insert?
