Topic: reading email on the e-smith server

Hi All,
I can receive and send email using Netscape from my windows desktop. I am able to  ssh to the e-smith server from the internet as well.
I would like to be able to read my email directly from server when I am on the road and can access the server thru the net.
A friend suggested using Pine. Does Pine work with qmail?
Is anyone using email in this manner?
Any suggestions?

I should have tried using Pine before posting the above message.
I didn't have to configure anything. Pine works great with qmail.

I'm just curious - why not use webmail?
