Topic: Network Printing

Hi all,
I am havintg problems printing from a mac  G4 to a HP LAserjet 4si that is set as a network printer on e-smith. I can print to it no probs from a win 2000 machine on the same network but no amount of coaxing can get my mac to print to it. It spools etc, then dissapears from the job list, never to be heard from again. Any help woiuld be gratefully accepted.

Check the driver on your mac to see how it is preparing the job - ie do you have the correct driver?  All the e-smith queue does is spool the jobs in raw format, relying totally on the pc or macs sending the jobs to use the correct driver and settings.  That's my understanding of it anyway.

As nfar as I know I have the right drivers....d/l'ed from HP' site the day i put up the original post......still no joy......

Any suggestions??
