Hi all,
I have a backup onto another e-smith and want to copy the users mail folders and files back into their own current " Maildir" plus a few custom folders. When I try just a plain copy the emails become blank or currepted. Anybody have any ideas as to the proper procedure. Thanks

Have you tried the backup and restore function from the e-smith manger? The proper procedure is to backup the e-smith box to either tape or a client machine's desktop, then clean install e-smith onto the new machine then restore from either the tape or client machine's desktop.

Yes I did try it. I went from 4.1.1 to 4.1.2 and half of the restore did not work and caused the sever to stop responding to requests. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did you upgrade your 4.1.1 to 4.1.2 then backup and restore OR backup 4.1.1 then clean install 4.1.2 then restore? I've done a couple of restores and it's worked great everytime (except for my non-standard stuff like Postgres). Try upgrading the 4.1.1 machine first then backup and restore to the new machine. Other than that I can't really suggest much more.
