Topic: Boot from HW Raid-1

I installed e-smith 412 on a hardware raid-1 (2x) 30 Go HDD, using howto at http://www.e-smith.org/docs/howto/contrib/ata100.txt

1) The dhcp connection to my provider is now out (the externel IP address is looking like a local IP, and all was OK before with e-smith installed with software raid-1). ifup eth1 returned it can't have IP informations on eth1.

2) I modified the lilo.conf as specified (with my I/O values) but the system do not want to boot on the HDD (only LI writen then nothing). I need the boot floppy and have to specify the boot : linux ide2=0xb400,0x...etc...

I fixed it just by changing of PCI slot the (external network) ethernet card...

Always impossible to boot except from floppy.
