Topic: Slow downloads in my Intranet!

Hi,
till now i did not use e-smith to host a Intranet. Now i am planing to host one on my next LAN-Party with 100 Players. On the Intranet will be hosted and downloadable all needed files (some > 100MB). I connected with a ftp-client and uploaded the files (about 40Mbit on my LAN). Now i tested to download the files with my InternetExplorer - and the speed was VERY slow - about 100kb?! The same happens with the ftp-clinet: upload with 40Mbit - download 120kb?
WHY?
Can i fix this?
Its a fresh installed 4.1.2...
