Hi Karl,

Maybe I can help you with getting some extra messages in your log files, that will tell what's really going on.

I was battling with a setup a while ago, and figured out how to generate lots_of_logs.

Have a look at :

The story is very much work_in_progress, although my system is working now.
Be aware that the extra time needed to log everything 'could' interfere with the setup, but once the LCP negotiation starts, you should be home and dry..

Ignore the bit at the end of the page about the ntp (timeserver)
This is caused by some as yet unexplained behavior of my isp.

Hi Kees, I have found out what my problem was, technician corosion. I forgat that I had a custom template with user login in it, and when I tried to change the dail in user, it did not change the template. Thanks for your help, I looked at your site and am going to give it a go, just so as I can learn about the connection process.
