Hello,

I 'm trying to install eicon diva pci on e-smith 4.1.2. Did someone have did it and can help me? I don't find information about this card and i don't understand how to install it. Then if someone did the same installation i would like to have help...

Linux (and e-smith) does not support the eicon diva pci ADSL Modem.

Sorry... But you cannot use e-smith with it....

I,m using external ISDN modem via RS232 wich runs on a standard e-smith installation.

Hi Nel,

If you really want to use e-smith with ISDN, you can take a look at the site of Kees Blokland (http://www.blokland.co.uk/Kees/docs/e-smith/). He has ISDN working with e-smith in the UK.

You can also use a router to connect to the internet. Fli4l (http://www.fli4l.de) is a one-disk-routerproject which uses a 386 pc.

I'm currently trying Fli4l, but it doesn't work yet, but I think it will soon...

Thats what i use. Fli4l router in my cellar 30 meters away from my e-smith box. Fli4l has not been rebooted for 6 months.

The eicon.diehl Diva-pci is supported by the isdn4l-projekt, for further details have a look at their home-page.As far as i know, only the eicon.diehl isdn-diva ISA V1.0 is not supported.
There is a howto written by Klaus Müller about the instal-lation of isdn-card for the e-smith-box. I tryed the version for the v 4.0 but it didn´t work perfectly for me, the v 4.1.2 should be easier to install  (e-smith contributed howtos.

I also use a fli4l-router and I think, they do support the eicon isdn-pci card.
Remembering to the amount of time I wasted to implement an isdn-card into my e-smith box it is very easy, to setup a 386 as an one floppy router under fli4l.
