Topic: External access when using DHCP on external adaptor

Hello,

    I'm setting up e-smith and it seems very straightforward.  I have it set up as a gateway and server.  When I use DHCP to configure the external address, no services are available to the outside.  Machines on the inside can surf just fine, but no incoming connections on any protocol work.  If I configure the outside adaptor with a static address, everything works as it should.  I've checked the FAQ, the bugs list and all the threads here... I've even done a little RTFM and I still can't figure out what is wrong.

    My current train of thought:  Is the machine booting too fast and starting services before the external interface has obtained its address?  If so, what can I do to put a delay into the boot process to allow DHCP to get the lease before continuing?
