Topic: Nwebi command prompt problem

In the console screen, when I press alt+f2 or alt+f3 I am asked to login as root and password.  But when I do this it logs in with the console screen not a command prompt.  When I cancel out it takes me back to the login prompt.  I would like to do the update from e-smith 4.0 to 4.01 and do some other installs.  Any help on this would be grand

Are you sure that you are logging in as "root", and not "admin"?
